Hello, and Welcome to My Universe!

Well, here I sit.  So much to say and don’t know where to start.  My retirement from the world of regular paychecks starts January 1st, 2016.  I am so ready for this, but also a bit apprehensive.  For so many years, there’s not been enough time to do all the things I’ve wanted to do.  Soon, I’ll have all the free time I could want.  How will I use that time?  My interests are rather eclectic – will I keep switching from one to another?  Probably.

My Mission is “Hats For Homeless”.  Each year since about 2005, I crochet and collect lots and lots of hats.  Then, about a week or two before Christmas, my grandchildren and I, along with various relatives and friends, give them away to the homeless people at a shelter in downtown Tulsa.  We get lots of love and a few pictures.

I love photographs.  And I’m learning not only how to take photos, but also how to edit them.  It’s a fascinating journey. There is so much to learn.  I just got the Ultimate Digital Photography Bundle which has tons of educational material, plus links to even more.  It will take me a long time to work my way through this, and I’ll love every minute of it.  I’ll be posting my progress here as I go along.

Reading a good book or three is another favorite pastime for me.  I have a few favorite authors and seem to find new ones now and then. I’ll try to do some book reports from time to time.

There’s more, but it’s after midnight, way past my bedtime.  Two out of three of our dogs are curled up around me here on the bed where I’m sitting with my laptop, typing instead of sleeping.
